For five days in the Mystetskyi Arsenal the project of the artist and founder of the brand Olk Manufactory Oksana Levchenko is presented - the exhibition "Non-existent tribes". It includes exhibits made of woven rugs, woven upcycling tapestries, made from a stocking factory waste, and video installation.
At all times there was a problem between people - representatives of different communities. Having a certain common feature, a group of people opposes itself to another group of people with their own sign and ideology. In consequence - there is a division between them. The stranger (xenon) is an analogue of the enemy. And this led to rejection, conflict and struggle of groups for their own interests.
A modern person has the opportunity to develop his knowledge and make itself, using the achievements of all mankind, and not of a separate community. We not live only a segment of the history of our life, but our genetic memory records the whole course of history that unites us all. We can turn to any of its layers and build our individuality on the experience of thousands of generations.
