SUCCESSFUL FASHION EXPERIMENT WAS HELD IN NEW YORK
For the first time, the Ukrainian Fashion Week team conducted a large-scale project in New York during the New York Fashion Week. The project was supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
A holistic approach to the concept of a presentation, carefully designed and embodied art installation, the selection of invited designers and a powerful team of creative partners of the project allowed making a unique product, which was named FASHION EXPERIMENT 01.
FASHION EXPERIMENT 01 presented residents of UFW with SS19 collections – Bobkova., FROLOV, DZHUS, Ruslan Baginskiy, the COAT by Katya Silchenko, Yelizavetta Volosovska.
The main message of the project is "Ukrainian fashion is so varied, unpredictable, original that it can not be simply consumed. It must first be explored."

But no less important mission of the project was to unite the domestic representatives of various creative industries, demonstrating their high professional level.
The gallery's space, where the presentation took place, was transformed into an imaginary fashion lab, due to Lesha Mykhailov x Jugoceania graphic design, Daniel Syenichkin / Bejenec sound design, Beehive creative buro video content, virtual space developed by SKYWELL SOFTWARE with SAMSUNG Ukraine technical support , where guests "researched" Ukrainian fashion.
Due to the phenomenon of Pareodolia - a kind of optical illusions, known as the recognition of forms and familiar objects in chaotic and random images, guests of the presentation were looking for close to themselves in models-objects of designers.

A part of the project was a photo shoot on the streets of New York. The photographers, Lena Shkoda and Evgeny Milkovich had a difficult task to capture two different stylistics and spirits of history.
The logistics partner of the project was the agency Delfa Tour.
Models of the agency "Glyanec" took part in creation of virtual content.
Special thanks to RAZOM Public Organization (USA) for the help in implementing the project.
